An acoustic rendition of mallewi’s single “softboy”. The original version of “softboy” is featured in “RETINA” (EP). This acoustic demo was released in celebration of the EP’s anniversary.

cosplay (be yourself) [Single]

“cosplay (be yourself)” was part of a Halloween project, “AMOK”. This project was completed within 10 days as a challenge for mallewi to learn to let go of perfectionism and obsession in the creative process. A pop song inspired by 90s games, “Cosplay” features a blend of 8-bit sounds, operatic harmonies, and classical melodies.

Also included were tracks “ghosting” and “good boy (remix)” —a remix of track #7 “good boy” on his EP “RETINA”. The remix features a new intro, new verse, an enhanced production, harmonics and melodies to accompany the original chorus.
